While the open source movement is promising, companies like Mistral may lack the necessary talent to propel their AI to new heights. GPT-4, crafted by OpenAI, is a testament to investing millions in talent, data, and infrastructure.
Open source will have a role in the future, but its performance will consistently lag due to financial constraints.

Microsoft's new Copilot app lets you use GPT-4 and DALL-E 3 for free! Plus they've collaborated with Suno AI to add a song generation feature, and it blew my expectations out of the water.
I wanted to share an experience I had testing Copilot; this moment got me really excited for the future of AI and I hope it does the same for you:
The first time I tested Suno in Copilot, I asked for a "Bad Bunny" style song and it generated one complete with coherent lyrics and a genuinely catchy beat. A friend was in the room at the time, and I noticed him nodding his head along to the song, so I asked him if he liked it. He said "Yeah, is that Bad Bunny?" He had no idea it was AI generated, he thought I was just listening to some Bad Bunny.
AI is genuinely capable of producing high-quality music now, and this was the moment really cemented it for me.
