OpenAI Testing ChatGPT Memory Publicly

Why it Matters?​OpenAI is actively rolling out a new "memory" feature in ChatGPT.

Their goal is to get ChatGPT to remember things across conversations, cutting down on the need to constantly repeat information. This first version of ChatGPT's memory can pick up important details on its own as you converse with it, or you can ask it to memorise specific info.

OpenAI is aware of the privacy and data concerns that this memory feature raises, and they're providing options to help ease those fears. Memory is completely optional, can be turned on and off at any time, and you can easily view and delete memories. They're also introducing a "temporary chat" that functions as a sort of "incognito mode" for ChatGPT.

And yes, GPTs will have their own distinct memories! You'll be able to enable or disable the memory option in the GPT builder. This brings an immediate, significant upgrade in functionality to a ton of popular GPTs.

The initial rollout includes select Free and Plus users, with OpenAI getting feedback on the usefulness of this feature before a larger release. If you're part of the initial rollout, you'll get a pop-up window explaining memory next time you log in to ChatGPT.

If you're not, hold on tight! OpenAI promised to share more details on the larger, widespread rollout soon.

Sora: Creating video from text 🪄

What is Sora?

According to OpenAI, Sora is a text-to-video model that generates one-minute-long videos while “maintaining the visual quality and adherence to the user’s prompt.” OpenAI claims that Sora is capable of generating complex scenes with numerous characters with specific types of motion and accurate details of the subject and background. According to the company, the model can understand not only what the user’s prompt, but also be able to comprehend how these things will reflect in the real world

The demos on the official announcement are mind blowing. Seriously, We Haven't felt future shock like this since Dalle-2 was first released.

Well, that's the first AI product that's made me feel confused and uncomfortable. And this is what a random user on Reddit said:
